La Cucaracha primarily functions as a restaurant and is well known for its Mexican fare. Because of this, it is busiest around dinner time and then winds down quite a bit. Average entree prices range from $8-14 (they've even won a few food awards). The decor is festively Mexican. There is plenty of seating in the bar and the music is bartender's choice and can vary from Latin to classic rock. The bar is lined with large wooden booths and 50 different styles of tequila, all reasonably priced.
The crowd is a little older, ranging from 25-40's who come in for the food, music and pinball. Overall, La Cucaracha is a good restaurant and usually has a very nice happy hour.
