This place is horrible, the food and specials are great. However the service is unbearable. Waited 15 minutes for service, watched the waitress walk past us 3 or 4 times. Finally asked the host for a couple of menus and service, which were rushed to our table. We then sat, and waited for another 15 minutes as the waiter attended to the people right next to us multiple times. She even stared right at us a couple of times when it was obvious she wasn't busy! Still no service, what a waste of almost 45 minutes. I felt down right terrible after going here. The one time we did get service out of this place it wasn't much better, took almost two hours to get two rounds of drinks and a couple of appetizers out of them. Pay the extra couple of bucks for better service somewhere else.

It is Amazing how this buffet has lasted in the marketplace six months. It's overpriced and serving last night's leftovers! Canned pineapple, picked over food and the table and buffet line covered with sticky sauce from the previous dinners. Come on, you would think they would have to try harder giving that there seems to be a Thai restaurant on nearly every corner of Uptown. Adding sinuslt to injury the waitress chose to shortchange me the coins from settling my tab—oh well, it cost her more in tip—as if I owed her one for filling a glass of water.

LOVE the buffet! This is the best lunch buffet in the history of asian restaurants. Wash it down with a guiness from the bar, and you are set sir. Jumbo shrimp, tons of curries, spring rolls, salads, fresh fruit. My only gripe is that you should have it every day and all night!

first off if you go to thai restaurants, and only order pad thai, you're a loser... try something new.. like the amazing pumpkin curry. And about the service, if you've only been once and have written the place off because of one server you are missing out. I've nearly every time had the same server and she has always been very polite, courteous and attentive. honestly this is Minneapolis, you cant really expect Michelin service ate 7 bucks a plate, the professional server pool only runs so deep here. Anywho, anyone who tells you that the food or service at amazing thailand is terrible has crabs, syphilis and herpes.. they also molest children and you shouldnt listen to them

Went for the late night happy hour last saturday night and was very impressed. The apps where much bigger than expected, and the drinks where reasonable. Good cream cheese wontons, the calamari was so-so.

My man and I came here for happy hour, we shared a BIG ASS plate of pad thai and had the most delicious tempura friend goodness ever-"Golden Pumkpin"! I've been having dreams about it ever since!

Excellent and frequent happy hours, amazing food, friendly staffers...this is our go to for thai food in the cities. The prices aren't cheap, but the portions are so big you can share one or have a meal for the next day. My kinda place.

This place is disgusting. Had the worst Pad Thai ever, ordered it a 5 and it tasted like sugar was dumped on top of it. Tried to hail my waitress 3 times to ask for some chili oil... and then just got up and left. Please.

Worst food in uptown. Had to wait fifteen minutes for a waiter and then another 15 minutes for our drinks. If you are in a hurry or want to take advantage of happy hour then I you should try somewhere else.

I love thai food and I was very dissapointed by the food at Amazing Thailand. I ate there with a group of 4 and no of us enjoyed our meals. The apps were fine, but the main dishes were WAY too sugary and kind of inedible.

Great Happy Hour! Food was great, drinks were really cheap. And I love that they don't have domestic beer on tap! We went to the late night happy hour on a Sat. and had a great time. I would recommend it to anyone.

Love Amazing Thailand. Good atmosphere, great patio, wonderful food and more than enough drink specials to keep a girl in her seat. Great service too. My only wish is that I could enjoy happy hour on the patio.

Very good food and great staff! It is always a delightful experience dining here. The pad thai is better than anywhere else I'd had it in the uptown area! A must try. I haven't had any bad service here!

Best happy hour! $3 apps. are a meal for two for $9 plus beer! I also agree, Jeanie is a great server.

Stephanie, below, is correct about the service. If you get Ryan or Megan at the bar, the service is great. If you get Jeanie as a waitress, the service is great. The host/hostess usually is bad at seating, depending on who's working. I don't know how to spell her name, but Pelock is also great. Most of the other servers and staff are absolutely horrendous though. I go to Amazing Thailand several times a week, and have been going for almost a year, and either you get great service with the few good people working there, or it's the worst you'll ever see. Don't let that hold you back though!

Nice happy hour, but the food was below par -especially compared to Chaing Mai Thai right down the street or even King & I Thai downtown. Nice atmosphere and prices but the food was definitely lacking!

Best Thai in Minneapolis, and stunning parasol-covered ceiling in one of the dining rooms. Staff lovely, as well.

I came here not expecting much but was pleasently surprised The food was really good and the interior is cool.... The hostess got a little huffy when i asked for a booth but whatevs...I had a really good meal here

This has become our favorite happy hour-that-transitions-into-dinner. The staff is always nice and easy going. Great food. If you have a small kid with you, order sticky rice. Keeps them very occupied.

I went there this past friday night for happy hour and was very disappointed. There was only one spot open at the bar so the three of us stood next to the bar to order the drink. the bartender didn't acknowledge us so after i few mins I waved him down for a wine list. He handed us one but never returned to see what we wanted. A table then opened up win the restarurant and the host said we could sit there and still get the happy hour specials. So she sat us. After ten minutes of waiting i went up to the host stand to tell her we still haven't seen a server (our table was right in front of the host stand) The server was standing there and smuggly said she'd be over. We told her our happy hour plan and she said we couldn't do tha in the restarant, when we told the host said we could she said fine what do you want. We ordered three glasses of wine. five minutes later still no wine. The host ended up bringing it out after another complaint. Bottom line...we walked in at nine, and didn't have a glass of wine in front of us till 9:25. It was ridiculous and they weren't even busy! We tried a couple apps and those were good.

This is the best thai in Uptown- the freshness of the produce & meat can't be beat. Flavors are perfect, portions perfect to share with a group.

This is a very classy spot. Excellent food too, dont forget to ask how hot some of the food is otherwise I loved the environment, the setup and the service.

Awesome place. I live nearby....don't know why it isn't busier! $3 Guinness, Stella, Summit, and many others all on tap! Even on Friday and Saturday nights. Great place to hit up before going out downtown. Food is amazing. Try the Panang Curry.

great atmosphere, cute alley patio, awesome specials (all day hh tuesday is killer). and most importantly the food is awesome. little pricey but i always have enough leftovers for 1 or 2 meals. try the pad see ew, the laab, the red curry...well, everything i've had has been great.

great happy hour but and tons of appetizer happy hour food... but i ordered veggie spring rolls and got pork :( also, the apps are good but the meals not so much.
