A local favorite dive bar. The crowd is mostly younger hipsters. They offer a jukebox for music, but it is usually playing good stuff from the White Stripes to Atmosphere. The smoke level is high and they don't have a patio, but they do have big booths and large tables in the back to accommodate large groups. The Red Dragon is mostly famous for their tropical drinks that are $5-7, but you will only need one or two before crawling home. Although they don't really have much in the way of a happy hour, most bottled domestics are less than $3. Word of warning! Don't eat here; this place is strictly for drinking.

This place is tough to rate... The drinks are great. They did raise the prices on all of their specialty drinks ($10.75 for a punch now I believe), but they do have a ton of liquor in them so you probably only need one. My biggest complaint is that a majority of the time the employees (waitstaff and managers) are really unfriendly. I was there on a Monday once and since the manager wanted to go home (I overheard her say this) she kicked the three or so tables of people that were left out of the bar at 12:30 am. There are a few gems for servers but normally you feel like you are somehow inconveniencing them buy being there.

red dragon is my favorite dive bar in this part of town. yeah, it sucks that the punch price is now a whopping 10 bucks, but think about it: you're pretty tipsy after one drink and it's not a rail! still a pretty fair deal if you ask me. and the movement from "hipster" to "ghetto" makes red dragon a very VERY refreshing place to be amid white-washed uptown. think about it.

Whatever, this place is awesome! The food is not that bad! I've eaten here a number of times, you just gotta know what to order. And I am upset that the Wonderous Punch got smaller and more expensive, and the crowd has gotten less hipsterish and more ghetto, but I'll keep comin back!

I never come here for the food...which defines mediocre but the drinks can't be beat!

im new to the neighborhood and decided to stop in for a drink. asked the bartender what everyone seems to be drinking and she told me the wonderous punch and warn me to only have one being its my first time. i took my time drinking it and enjoyed the crowd and the 80s music that kept playing on the jukebox. had a good time and stumbled my ass home and was in for the night. thank god i listened to the bartender cause my head is still pounding as i am up for the bathroom in the middle of the night. next time i will have to eat before i have those wonderous punches!! it was a wonderous time!!
