This is the happiest place on earth! If you want to go and have an inexpensive meal with some great margaritas... this is the place. I would suggest ANYONE to celebrate their birthday here... I have done it two years in a row!

Only a truly white bread minnesotan would ever call the food here "authentic." Its better than the taco-bell on a plate served up at Pepitos and the like, for sure. But that's not saying very much. If you are someone who thinks cheddar cheese has a place in "authentic" Mexican food, you may be thrilled with this joint. Otherwise, come for the cheap drinks.

Wait, seriously? Sure, their drinks are cheap, but the food is just bad. I got mole enchiladas, and they were greasy and tasted about a day old. It's always a bad sign when the food comes out at the same time as the drinks. Their menu is also a strange mix of authentic-looking mexican and American. I believe they serve french fries.

Great, simple Mexican food that's reasonably priced. Happy hour includes strong 2-4-1 margaritas and a few tap options. A few tables out front are great for the summer and good people watching. They have an AWESOME birthday special, I can't remember exactly what it is, but it's something like "Bring in 4 friends, you drink free" or something, and the fact that your friends get 2-4-1's anyway is a great incentive.

This place has the best margaritas! None of that watered down mess. The food is authentic and not so "Americanized". Definitely the only place in the area that you will get to eating a meal as if you really were south of the border.

Best mexican place in town, great for drinks too. Wife and I love it there. Slightly saddened that hipsters seem to have discovered it though.

This place has a very long happy hour but it's only on beer and margaritas. The trick to the happy hour is that YOU MUST ASK FOR IT. Other than having 9 different servers ask us the same damn questions, the food was good, the atmosphere was very roomy and the waitstaff was very friendly. Would go back when we're in a beer/margarita mood.

The food was fantastic, and the decor definitely had a Mexican Kitsch to it, but we made the mistake of eating while the karaoke was going and it was loud as hell!

this is a fantastic place to head for happy hour! The margaritas are CHEAP and strong, the salsa and chips are delicious and the servers sweet and attentive. my new favorite "undiscovered by the hipsters" place!

Went here on a random Friday night - this place is awesome! Spanish karaoke, cheap (strong) drinks, and really good food. The food is far better than Little T's around the corner ... but then again Little T's is open past bar close.

If it's a birthday, and you have more than 6 people, call ahead and they'll give you a cake and also the birthday person drinks for free. And you get to spin the wheel. It's great.

Went there Sat 12/9 and two of our party who had the chicken got food poisoning. Have reported to city Mpls. I'd stick with the drinks

Far and away the best Mexican food in town. If you want better decor go to Salsa al a Salsa, but if you want better food go to Pancho Villa. Also, the rumors are true, two for one happy hour all day m-f.

VERY CASUAL & cheep décor (good place to wear the sweatpants). Great Mexican food and the drink specials are amazing!!! It was $4 for two margaritas and $2.75 for two beers!!! The staff was also very nice.

I love Pancho Villa! Great deals, GREAT food, and live music on weekend nights. Gets a bit too loud, but you're too busy eating to talk anyway!

Our kind of bar/restaurant! Fun place with festive background noise and live music. Great food and booze prices. Staff was friendly. We didn't give them a "5" because we did have to wait a bit for the food and drinks.

The fish tacos rock! The menu can be hard to read if you read Spanish but order anything "American-ish" like fajtas, tacos, burritos, and beans and it's still yummy! Music was a tad loud but you can't beat the margaritas and 241s WITH authentic Mexican food.

Soo tasty! We love their spicy salsa (not sure about the BBQ comment from A-Girl!) and great service. Food is always tasty, even simple burritos are delicious! Drink specials are great (2-4-1s all day?!) although we haven't tried the 'ritas yet. Highly recommended.

Maybe I am not familiar with certain "Authentic" mexican cultures and maybe this is why I did not enjoy my experience. I thought the salsa tasted like BBQ sauce and my food was VERY bland. No spice and they serve no ground beef and the beans were runny? I know, wierd. And to top it off - the tap beer waas warm - gross. So thats my opinion and I apologize if I offend anyone.... wait - no I don't. It's my f'n opinion!

awesomehappy hour and food is authentic. while the karaoke can be a bit loud--it still makes for a great place to have a nice meal and drinks
