Pancho Villa is more of a restaurant that serves drinks; it’s a great place to come soak up the long happy hours, making the 34 tequilas a doable task... Located in the center of Eat Street, Pancho Villa is a new attraction for the neighborhood. Thursday is probably the best...Come for Happy Hour, stay for the Karaoke (Thurs-Sun). This is a popular night and a great place for the Karaoke, they even host a singing contest that I am no where near winning.

The music is highly varied, but the crowd is dominantly Latino. This is a great thing when you are searching for authentic Mexican cuisine, go to where they are. In conclusion, Pancho Villa has great food, extended happy hours, and great margaritas. If you are looking to try something different and get away from the busy Uptown center while immersing yourself in the Latino culture, this place could quite possibly be for you. THRIFTY TIP- Come in on your birthday for free food and drinks, big groups "spin the wheel" for free stuff. Parking on Nicollet or off-streets is never a problem at night. They have a FREE lot, but make sure to follow the signs, a false move will get you towed.

Only a truly white bread minnesotan would ever call the food here "authentic." Its better than the taco-bell on a plate served up at Pepitos and the like, for sure. But that's not saying very much. If you are someone who thinks cheddar cheese has a place in "authentic" Mexican food, you may be thrilled with this joint. Otherwise, come for the cheap drinks.

Wait, seriously? Sure, their drinks are cheap, but the food is just bad. I got mole enchiladas, and they were greasy and tasted about a day old. It's always a bad sign when the food comes out at the same time as the drinks. Their menu is also a strange mix of authentic-looking mexican and American. I believe they serve french fries.

Great, simple Mexican food that's reasonably priced. Happy hour includes strong 2-4-1 margaritas and a few tap options. A few tables out front are great for the summer and good people watching. They have an AWESOME birthday special, I can't remember exactly what it is, but it's something like "Bring in 4 friends, you drink free" or something, and the fact that your friends get 2-4-1's anyway is a great incentive.
