Chaing Mai Thai has some of the best and most authentic Thai food in the city. The décor is also very nice in an Asian-modern type way. They offer great tap beers, even if the selection is limited (Bells, Blue Moon, Bass, etc.). Chaing’s is popular with the Uptown service industry crowd and is possibly one of the best-kept-secrets of Uptown, despite the fact it is located in the back of Calhoun Square (next to Famous Daves). Choose your food’s spice level, even try “Thai spicy� if you are feeling tough. Spicy foods contain compounds that fight cancer and raise metabolism. If this is true, you will be a healthy and skinny person if Chaing’s becomes a continual part of a steady diet. Plus, you don’t get the weighted-down feeling from a typical heavy Chinese dinner. Oh, they also serve a full menu until close if you are in the mood for some late night eats.

Chiang Mai Thai has a great atmosphere...especially the bar area...so I'm so disappointed that their food isn't that great. It's too Americanized tasting..not authentic enough. The pad thai noodles are super slippery with too much sauce.

This place is great for late night eats or dinner.. the portions are big and the food is outstanding.. try the coconut ice cream too

Chiang Mai Thai rocks for happy hour. All of the wines by the glass are $3 and $4 (so don't understand the wine as turpentine comment from a previous post. Whenever I've been unhappy with my wine the server has happily replaced it. Ask the server for her suggestions). The appetizers are outstanding -again, right off the menu- so many restaurants serve junk for happy hour appetizers (hello figlios and Chino Latino). The waitstaff is awesome and the crowd is always cool. I love this place for happy hour. It can't be beat.

Reservation Policy sucks @ss. I'm not driving all the way in for you to tell me its going to be 1-2 hours for dinner and NO reservation can be taken. F U chang mai F U
