The bar was recently sold and is under new management. The old owners sucked and treated everyone like crap. The new owners put in a great wood floor, cleaned up the place and they are working on making it the fun place it used to be!! Despite what others have incorrectly said, the bar is a strong beer and wine bar. There is no liquor but that also keeps out the riff-raff. I'm looking forward to spending more times at Casey's.

I have been going to this bar for years and everyone knows who I am. I appreciate a relaxed and melow atmosphere and the cheap pool! I recommend this bar to people who like dive bars! it's f#@$%n sweet!

I used to go to this bar all the time so I had my doubts when I moved back to town and some friends of mine told me that it had totally gone south. Then I went there and they were totally correct. First of all, I've never seen so much discrimination - it was pretty clear that anyone who looked a bit different got different treatment. Second, the bartender that night who started a month or so ago seemed pretty nervous the whole night and the food he served me didn't warrant being eaten by anyone. Third, the rest of the patrons were far different than before when there was always a healthy mixture of younger and older people - always friendly, never obnoxious. I don't know what happened to this place, but I do realize that all the people I know in the area are absolutely right when they say that this was a place that once was great but refuse to go there anymore. This is a great area but the owners did something so that everyone I talk to who lives around there refuses to go there and will never come back.

I've been to a lot of bars in Minneapolis. This bar is by far the friendliest. Is it the swankiest bar in Minneapolis...no...it's simply a great come as you are neighborhood bar. Everyone has always been friendly to us...even when we were perfect starngers.
