DJ and Dancing Friday and Saturday night 10pm - 2am.



Bar Abilene is a Tex-Mex grille for the Uptown area. They have great dinner food and an even better Sunday brunch. They are fairly popular most nights, especially in the summer with their active sidewalk patio (great for watching people walk by).



The busiest night at Bar Abilene is Mondays when they have their SIN (bring in pay stub for free cover). Other nights they sometimes have a band and a small dancefloor that usually has tables, but is cleared out to allow dancing.



The dinner crowd is varied ages, but night time is usually younger, 21-30. The dress type is trendy casual and the crowd is flirty and fun. The best is the wide range of tequilas and good tap beers.



THRIFTY TIP- meters stop charging after 10, conveniently when their happy hour really gets going, so find parking nearby on the street for free. Before then, go 1 block east of Bar Abilene for free street parking.

The clubbing experience in uptown is lacking, and this place proves that. The people dancing are snooty, so you are better off just keeping to yourself or your friends while on the dancefloor.

I really liked it for dinner, table side guacamole was great. but when I went on a friday late night...yikes. wrong drink, and i've never been bumped into so much. eww.

haven't had the best service when I've been here. This place is okay for weekday happy hours, but stay away on the weekends. (unless you're a douche bag, tool, or meathead. Then you'd love it)
