Azia is a great new bar and was recently voted "Best Late Night Eats" by the Citypages, offering a full menu until 2 am. After eating here, I know why. Owner and chef have been given high marks for the food and concept in magazines as prestigious as Bon Appetite.
Azia specializes in upscale high-quality (obviously Asian) bistro style food. They stress atmosphere, presentation, and unmatched excellent service. Their Cranberry Puffs are excellent (and ½ priced during happy hour) as is the wide range of seafood and sauces. Although the entrees are a bit pricey ($15-25) they are definitely worth the splurge.
Inside seating is ample and comfortable in the hip-NY-East village-type way. Just try ordering a Mai Thai or any of their special martinis with mango or lechee infusions if you want something special. Azia also has outdoor seating, although it’s next to the street. Next door at the Caterpillar Lounge (accessible from the inside) they also have live DJ music nightly (lounge, jazz, retro), and a upscale, young professional, hip clientele. Come here for food, then stay to enjoy the pleasant feeling only 3 mango mojitos can give you.

Love the place, although it is a little pricey. (Some) of the entrees are certainly worth it, but I personally like the sushi better than the asian fusion menu. As far as the different rooms and having worked as a hostess myself, you don't really get seated based upon what you're wearing but rather the count for the servers since they usually want to maintain an even count for all of them. So keep that in mind! Anyway, great food, excellent happy hour deals on apps and cocktails, sake, etc. All around good and delicious place to eat.

Been 3 or four times and I have been instantly impressed with the service. The servers know exactly what they are talking about...they can suggest good food with confidence. Happy hour is a great deal...especially for the imported beer.

I have frequented Azia for happy hour for a couple of years now; it is always a great deal with great service. I recently had dinner there for the first time and they clearly exceeded my expectations. The service was great, the sushi rolls were spot-on, and the server suggested a great bottle of wine. I am always impressed with Azia's consistently good service.
