Replacing the old Giorgio’s (on Lake) is the swanky, boutique-style restaurant Amore Victoria. With its delicious Italian fare and pleasant and inviting atmosphere characterized by ancient pillars, intricate woodwork, and a dimly-lit booth-lined dining area that is perfect for a date or casual affair. The bar area is open and the staff is some of the most seasoned and fun-loving regulars of the uptown Minneapolis scene.

Amore Victoria serves great gourmet cuisine, pizzas, and other bistro-style food at a moderate price ($10-15 entrees); also specializing in a great European-style brunch.

If you patronize Amore Victoria, expect to meet the chef or one of the owners, who believe that regular clientele, upscale service, and great food will bring steady regulars with a moderate budget but top self taste.

THRIFTY TIP: Free parking in Rear anytime.

I absolutely love AV! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. One of my favorite restaurants in the city.

I love the HH specials and it's a great place for a date. They have a large menu and while some of their entrees are only decent, others are amazing. Amore is hardly ever crowded. I highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family. A hidden uptown gem!

The HH drink specials are great. The atmosphere is lovely and I appreciate that it is never over-crowded. The brunch is also fabulous - delicious food at reasonable prices. I've had good dinners here as well. Some of their pasta dishes are incredible.

Why are people saying the food is bad? Have you eaten anything besides the HH food? I have eaten here many-a-times, along with gone to many HH's. Food is suburb, atmosphere is fantastic, and I love that the owner is constantly present. GREAT PLACE. If you don't like the food, your taste in food is probably lower, like a chain restaurant same-ol-crap type.

I love the happy hour! Half priced bottles on a Sunday night on the patio = brilliant! Even the house wines at $3/glass aren't anything to sniff at... unfortunately, the food is total rubbish. I've been several times, and not once was I completely satisfied by the food. Always something wonky...flour lumps in the mushrooms marsala, lack of white beans in the Tuscan tapenade... always something wrong. The service is just fine (sometimes even great!) and the happy hour drinks are good, but don't come here for the food.
