Anyone who says Red Sea is a dump or racist doesn't know what they're talking about. I'm a short, white, woman and I've gone there and number of times. I've always been served and treated respectfully. NoLongerMinor needs a reality check.

I went here when I was a minor to see a friend's band play, and I'm from WI. I don't know if they didn't know what to look for on my ID or if they just can't do math, but I bought drinks all night - no questions asked. Place is a dump, creepy "regulars" playing pool and talking about our group the whole time, and giving everyone the evil eye for "invading their space." Complete craphole, plain and simple.

Went in at about four in the afternoon and the bartender wouldent even look in our direction to take our order. Two dudes sitting at the bar stared us down like we were stealing something. Total RACISM!!! Dont waste your time. Any other bar you can see is better.

This is the one bar I will no longer go to, even when my friends want me to come watch their new band, or offer to buy drinks. I ALWAYS end up having creepy encounters of some sort, or major irritation from the staff or "regulars". Don't even get me started on the can....I'd rather go to Palmers! Ak! No good.

I've been to the Red Sea twice over a period of at least a few years. The variety I encoutered between the two expereinces I found intriguing. One night there was punk/metal music, the second was hip hop. Both times everyone was very welcoming. Also, I'll comment on the people giving warning may just be the ones with questionable intelligence. Or maybe they just love the bump and grind of the meat market bars.
