Manning’s Bar & Café has maintained in the heart of the campus Como neighborhood by providing a long list of domestic taps (including all thing Leinenkugels) and a large 32oz. beer served up for the most prepared patrons. The décor is classic 70’s style, but it is orderly and clean. There is an equal mix of tables : booths so both are pretty easy to get. They offer a few arcade games like golden tee and buck hunter, while maintaining a low key atmosphere. The crowd is very mixed between older blue collar workers and students from the area. It’s a great place to go to mingle with other students, but due to the laidback nature, try to bring a small group of friends and enjoy your booth. Manning’s offers a free lot and breakfast during the week. Typical bar and café food.

This place is better for the older people in the area. If you are looking to have a fun night with a fun atmosphere do not go here.

Won't you please give me your best explanation to why all you haters think this place is teeming with old-folk? HELLO let me fill you in on the program!!! This place has been kickin out tasty burgers, home-made onione rings, and the always delicious liver & onions (a parent's favorite, who are probably old) since 1932. 1932! Wouldn't you think a place getting old folks and friends sauced-up for over 75 years knows a little something about the biz and their customer base. This is an excellent place to hang with friends and family. I'd like to know where a few goons on this site plan to hang when they're 65+...nursing home? Florida? by your miserable self? I know where I'll be. At Mannings, shootin the shit and slamming a few Schooners full of Premium--with my Brothers, of course!

Ugh! I used to live right around the corner from this place and went there one day for lunch. I ordered a bowl of chili and I have never had such disgusting food in my life. I would rather eat a can of cold Roundy's chili than the slop they served me. Maybe the bar is ok, but don't eat here!
