The Cabooze is a long-time favorite for catching a show, and if thats boring, you can always play foosball. Famous for its live acts, the Cabooze has hosted shows like Kool Keith, Toots and the Maytals, and other national acts. However, the music is usually more along the lines of the String Cheese Incident and they always have live local bands jamming or covering your old favorite Greatful Dead songs. The dance floor is a little small, but always a good time. The hippy is in the majority here, but everyone is always pretty nice and usually inebriated.



The Cabooze doesn't really offer any specials, but weekday cover is usually free or cheap and they have a $3 beer-of-the-month. Also, they have huge Becks or Becks Dark bombers for $5.



NOTE: If you use the patio you cannot come back in with your drink...THRIFTY TIP- Drinks are cheaper on the patio, $3.50 Montly Beer Special.

The list of great bands they have had at the Cabooze over the years deserves mention-Albert King, Freddie King, Johnny Winter, Dickey Betts,David Lindley,Robin Trower,Alvin Lee, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Tab Benoit to name a few.....

I've seen so much live music here, it boggles the mind. I miss the old Big Wu on Wednesday night JAMS. This place was also my cooling off spot during Cedarfest! haha, The Cabooze rules.

This place makes me so angry. I was underage when I went there the first time, and the manager accused me of drinking there even though the bouncer had an eye on me the entire time- he wouldn't even let me in to go to the bathroom! The manager said that "people had seen me drinking" which was a LIE... I just found this place to have a hostile environment all around.
