The Tavern is a popular local watering hole that keeps its regulars happy. They dub themselves as a “Fishing Bar� and have styled the bar to look like a log cabin interior with fish tanks and wooden decorations. They are also popular for their walleye dinner and (according to one bartender) “strongest drinks on Grand Ave.� They also have 12 different taps including: Sam Adams, Paulaner, and Bell’s with a menu that is typical bar food.
There are several small TV’s around the bar area that are well positioned to give you a view no matter where you are sitting so it is good for the game. During non-games the music is Bartender’s Choice and is usually anything from classic rock to Hip-Hop. The Tavern definitely has the “local feel� to it and is popular with a mixed-age (22-40) dressed down crowd. Smoking is a bit more common here than other places on grand, but the Tavern is sectioned, only allowing it in the bar area.
