Sweeney’s is a popular bar with its regulars. It is the Neighborhood Bar, no frills attached. The interior is a bit small and elongated, nestled in between several other neighboring businesses. They almost always play classic rock over the stereo. The interior is nicely lit and they have old brick walls, a small fireplace, and wooden booths. Even the bar is old antique wood, giving it the appearance of a classic watering hole. The interior is classic mixed with promotions; a typical bar decor. Possibly the best feature of Sweeney's is the patio. Its large, comfortable, and decorated with plants. Big enough to get a table, yet small enough to meet fellow patio-sitters.

Anyway, the music is classic rock and the crowd is on the older side, especially during the daytime hours, though it is a favorite of the "in the know" college and law school students. They also have a pretty good tap beer selection with your normal 10 and then about 5 specialties that rotate regularily.

Been here 3 times for the patio. The servers outside are complete garbage. They treat you like you are an inconvenience. Especially the 30 year old dude. Do your damn job, its not hard.

Great food, drinks, and atmosphere, but less than friendly service. I have been there about 5 times and every time I seem to have a server with an attitude.

Great food and service! I don't know what these people are talking about, but I've always had a great time at Sweeney's.

Worst service ever! The waitress seemed to have an attitude with us before she even walked up to our table. She only brought 3 of the 5 beers that we ordered and then we didn't see her for over 25 minutes- and it was not busy. After wondering why we were being treated so rudely we decided to leave. We put down more than enough money to cover our bill plus tip and started to walk out...of course then she swooped in out of nowhere shouting, "You need to pay!". After pointing out the money on the table she let up. I wish we would have gotten the bill because I know the tip from what we put down was waaaay too much for the way we were treated. I will not be back.

Best wings in the city, but the most unfriendly service I have consistently experienced. Watch for the fire ants on the patio.
