Punk fest with a host of local bands and headlining with the Vibrators

Local music venue that puts a huge emphasis on supporting local music, and therefore, we support them. Located in St. Paul lowertown, Station 4 is a great place for live music and usually has cheap to Free cover charges with the exception for when they get bigger national shows. They also have a great sound system, making the shows even better. Bands are usually hard rock or metal, but they get a wide range of HipHop and indie shows too. They are also big supporters of the MN Rollergirls, hosting afterparties and more. The crowd varies by band.
Thrifty Tip: $3 PBR Tallboys all the time!

Awful drinks, awful staff, awful venue, awful music... This place would be cutting-edge if it was 1976, but now it's just trying too hard. I don't really get if it's a metal scene or a punk scene -- either way i think that they're trying to be vintage, but instead it just feels really outdated, dirtly, smelly and run-down. I'm ashamed that I even went there -- but at least I was in a Halloween costume, so I don't think that anyone could recognize me...

Station 4 is not for the faint of heart. It's also not a spot to go grab martinis with your yuppie friends. If you appreciate hard, fast metal and booze...then you should definitely check out Station 4.

The only reason I gave a one star rating is because there is no 0 out of 5 option. It is really too bad because this place used to be on the cutting edge back when it was known as Ryan's Corner. It has become a filthy watering hole with over priced drinks and kiddie bands with little or no talent. I appreciate the difficulties in owning and managing a bar/club these days but milking every last cent out of a place while no improvements are made is a recipe for failure.

Stay away from this place...

Worst music venue in the metro area. No windows, air conditioning, or flowing air made the show miserable. It had to have been at least 110 degrees in there.
