Billy’s on Grand is a long-time night tradition for St. Thomas students. During the day it is visited by a mixed crowd who come especially for its patio, the biggest and one of the nicest on Grand Avenue. The menu is typical bar burgers and sandwiches ($8 avg.). They also have the standard 12 taps of most bars. Inside, Billy’s is a large, multi-roomed and multi-barred typical sports bar. They never have live music, but also never a cover. The crowd is typically 21-30 and varies by the specific room. Music is a Jukebox and could be described as “Cities 97�-like. The back has 4 pool tables, 5 dart boards, and other video games like Golden Tee, Buck Hunter, etc.
Any game is great here because there will always be crowds, cheering, and great views of the TV’s. Billy’s is a “safe-bet� for going out in St. Paul because it is always busy and decent.
