Ah, Pepito's. We're sorry to see you go. There is still the Take-Out Pepitos next to the Dollar Store on 43rd and Nicollet, but sadly, Pepitos is no more.

This place holds so many memories, most likely for a lot of people from Minneapolis. From its humble beginnings in 1971 to its highlight on the silver screen in Untamed Heart, it holds a lot of history here, nestled in the heart of South Minneapolis. Now while it isn't necessarily a drinking establishment (most people enjoy a Corona with their meal or an after-dinner shot of tequila), it does feature the Poco Loco Lounge, open till midnight every night with a wide selection of beers (bottled and tap, import and domestic) and a very unique and diverse collection of margarita drinks. We'll miss the great happy hours, huge portions, and great queso.
