South Minneapolis is the area south of Uptown down Cedar Avenue toward the airport. It is home to fewer bars and is a little out of the way compared to other city areas. Most of these bars are frequented by regulars and neighborhood locals. On the plus side, they are a bit less expensive and free street parking is always available.
