W.A. Frost has been a Twin Cities fine dining tradition since 1975. The restaurant has received numerous awards from local and national media. W.A. Frost is located in the historic Dacotah Building on the southeast corner of Selby and Western Avenue. Built in 1889, the Dacotah Building has seen many changes to the downtown St. Paul landscape and remains one of the landmarks of Historic Cathedral Hill.
What started in 1975 as a lovingly restored bar with food brought in by local caterers, has turned into a full service restaurant with an award-winning wine list, fine dining menus, patio dining in the summer time, fireplaces, steaming coffee drinks come fall, and catered events year 'round. The site of many a business deal, or marriage proposal, and a cozy place to gather with friends, W.A. Frost always welcomes neighbors and visitors. Reservations are strongly encouraged as the place never seems to slow down.
