The Vegas Lounge is a little known gem on your way from downtown into NE. 5 tap beers range from domestics to Redhook, but the real draw is the nightly Kareoke (all but Monday & Wed). The range of skills and the confidence that patrons express during these nights is both amazing and shocking.
Mostly a local nieghborhood spot, the Vegas offers a long stretch of happy hours, billiards, and pull tabs. Its popular for watching the games (especially Vikings and Nascar; ie. new drink specials for these), having TV's arranged for all to get a good view.
Food is standard bar fare: Pizzas, sandwiches, and chili. The interior is open and dim lit, with hightop tables around the large central bar. They also have a large fenced in patio.

The good news is that they now have karaoke 7 nights a week. The bad news is that they now have karaoke 7 nights a week. The karaoke brings in a more lively crowd but it isn't good for us in the more mature age range that want to be able to carry on a conversation with our table mates. It is just too loud. We will either have to come earlier or go someplace else. I don't blame the bar though, the name of the game is putting butts in the seats and karaoke seems to do that.

By far the BEST bar in NE. Great crowd of old and young. Yes, it's a dive bar so expect the conditions to be "divey" but thats what makes it so perfect! I didn't think the bathrooms were bad at all. They're just average bathrooms. Plus who cares when your drunk. The wait staff is amazing, friendly and hilarious. There are a couple hot ones too. I can't believe people below me are complaining about the drink prices. Anywhere I can get a vodka tonic for $3 is good in my book. Last but not least, the Kareoke is the best in town so bring your A-game.

This place is a dump. They keep the doors propped open so the smoke comes into the bar. The bathrooms stink like you wouldn't believe. However, it is still a fun place. The guy sitting on your left might have a BMW in the lot whereas the guy on your right has his shopping cart with all his worldly possessions hidden in the bushes. This place is good humor, especially on Karaoke nights. Staff is pretty nice and really blue collar. Lot of bar flies in this place. The only thing is that the drinks are a tad overpriced for the environment.

This is a great place where you can walk into a dive bar and see people ranging from 21-70 years old wearing any and everything from leather biker suits to polos to Britney Spears outfits. Super friendly crowd, slightly overpriced drinks, but worth the crowd watching and overall cheer.

Love this dive. Friendly staff, the owners are in there most nights. Great bar food and Heggies pizza. Evenings there is a nice mix of 20-somethings and well-seasoned barflys, and everyone is friendly. Karaoke at 9pm 4-5 nights a week and drawings for free drinks etc. every day and night. The only problem is the lack of specials. They have two for ones at 8am and 8 pm and a couple of other times, but that's about it. The cheapest pitcher of beer is $10 so that hurts my squad. $16 for a pitcher of Summit too. Still fun to go occassionally but I can't afford to live there anymore.
