Always understaffed. I should know...I used to work there years ago. Nothing has changed. In fact, if someone dined and ditched you had to fork over the bill yourself as a server. Needless to say there was zero control on a music and patio night. So I sold drinks under the table to make up for it when it happened. Ha!

Man, this place has so much potential. It's off the river, view of downtown and on historical St. Anthony Main. They have overpriced straight from Sysco crap food(round bacon slices? That's what Burger King uses and they don't charge $9 a burger.) Although they try to present some original menu items it's prepared poorly. The atmosphere is like a generic suburb sports bar. Like I said, it has so much potential and is in a perfect location and because of this people always go there and just deal with the mediocrity, too bad.

The WORST service EVER. Congrats Tuggs for beating out Merlin's Rest and the CC Club. In short-never again.

went to tuggs last night and we were told to just grab a table from a server...we did and we sat for a good eight minutes with no one greeting us....multiple servers passed by and didn't give us a second look....when we finally did get a server she was great expect the strawberry lemonade was very sour and the bloody mary was poorly made. the food is okay but overpriced. I think two little pieces of fish for the price was a rip off.

Note to all. Tuggs' in the summer on the patio is always busy and slightly under staffed. all they need is a good wait assist. Especially during lunch. Jamie below said something that erked me. "checks" plural. Always announce promptly to your server that you will require seperate checks. It can take a while to move that stuff around. Tuggs, I love it. Expensive, not that great but nothing is better than a cold brew and a view of downtown like no other. Even if it takes a while.
