Sustainable, organic, and local. The Red Stag Supper Club is a great neighborhood joint new to Northeast Minneapolis with a menu created by Chef William Baskin formerly of Cosmos Minneapolis focusing on fresh and seasonal products. They also have a unique twist to a lot of traditional dishes... Small plates: ($1-10) including Mac & Cheese (with lobster & truffle), Smelt Fries (RECOMMENDED), and Big Plates: Steaks, Fish, Stroganoff, and many other great options ($15-25). They also have a liquor list with hard to find, yet high quality boozes and a large and diverse tap list with something for every beer lover.
As the first LEED-Certified restaurant in Minneapolis, the Red Stag is a new concept blending health (both personal and environmental) and lifestyle into one incredible place to eat.

Every time I go the food is excellent and the service is amazing. One waitress in particular with a nose ring has been nothing short of marvelous every time I've had her. The Sunday night slow cooked food is my favorite.

Dinner service was good, the Tempura broccoli was great and the menu reasonably proced. It was a very good restaurant, looked like it would have been a better happy hour hang out than dinner though.

I love the Red Stag. Great ambience, great service, and excellent food (and when it's not, they bend over backwards to fix it).

Went last night and all in all thought it was great. Amazing deal with the cheap date night thing. Added a few appetizers and cocktails and it was still really reasonable. The only complaints are the salad we got was really oily and bland and service at the bar varied. One bartender, the one who just graduated from the U was awesome, really helpful and funny. The other was kind of a d-bag and acted like he was doing us a favor by giving us pepper. Will definitely be back, though.

Went there last night. The staff was awesome, the food was great, and the manager even brought out free popcorn (which is probably the best menu item in the world, you laugh, but really:) . Lookbook was playing a free show, people were friendly (on the hipster side, but still friendly) and our tab only came out to like $20/person after trying pretty much everything on the bar menu and drinking
