Jitters is a great underground lounge that features unique live entertainment almost nightly and it’s always a free cover. As far as atmosphere goes, Jitters takes the cake, so to speak. They have really put in a lot of effort to make sure you feel comfortable and hip. It’s a great date place because the atmosphere is romantic, it’s never too packed, and you have the choice of engaging in great conversation or, just sitting back enjoying each others' company while listening to live music.
THE DRINKS- Jitters offers a wide range of specialty martinis ($8), good taps, and a menu of lite, yet exquisite gourmet treats. They are famous like the Times Bar for being a piano bar and it’s common for them to host 50’s style lounge acts like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, or Tony Bennet cover acts. For being a place to get the deals, Jitters is perfect for a quite and unique evening.
Jitters Café at the Times Bar is located below and a little difficult to find (They share a door with the Times, go in off Hennepin Avenue).
