Black Sheep Coal-Fired Pizza is a quaint, but modern-styled pizza joint in the North Loop of downtown Minneapolis. The small bar up front makes a good wine list, and the 8 specialty taps are accessible and ever-changing. It's not a bad pass-time, sitting at the bar watching the pizzas go in and out of Minneapolis's only coal fired pizza oven.
Black sheep is more restaurant than bar; the neighborhood condo dwellers flock for some of the best pizza in the cities. For an appetizer, try the roasted olives and garlic: a sizzling plate of various types of olives complimented by fresh baked breads. But their pizza...Super fresh, visually perfect, light yet crispy crust, the ultimate gourmet pizza for a foodie.
These tasty pies are priced perfectly, at $7-10 for a 12"Â or $13-20 for a 16"Â. A good and friendly staff will take care of you, and management checks in once in a while. These people care about food and their customers.
