With two locations (one downtown, and another over in Minnetonka), Origami Sushi is considered by many (food critics and patrons alike) to have the best sushi in the Twin Cities. No joke: this place has been featured in ZagatSurvey multiple times, as well as many local publications such as the City Pages. That being said, Origami Sushi is definitely more of a restaurant than it is a bar, though they do have a fully-functioning bar with a large beer, scotch, wine, and sake selection. The sushi is indeed worthy of its oft-given handle “The Best Sushi in Town”; keeping this title in mind, the prices are worth noting too: very reasonable. Hardly anything on the sushi menu exceeds eight bucks. Origami Sushi is based in the Warehouse District, so parking can become an issue, though there are always ramps. Check this place out, especially if sushi is your thing.

Prices just went up, wings are $5, dumplings are $4 and getting both makes a lame meal for $9. The 22oz sapporo is $6, but that is the regular price at many places around time. Other beers start at $3 and many are $4 and they are bottles not 16 ounce taps. Our waitress ignored us and didn't ask us for last call for happy hour- only came by for one drink. Our chicken app took 25 minutes and was cold and she didn't offer to bring us something else, just discount- so we had to go somewhere else to eat. I won't go again.

Best Sushi in Minneapolis Hands down. Great place, I recommend it to anyone who's asking for the best.

coming from NYC, I have to say the food is GREAT, a fraction of the cost of most such restaurants. Fantastic vibe...great music....great service. Nagori, Sapporo, and the spicy tuna combo. I love this place and go at least a few times a month. Did I mention the best raw fish in the twin cities?

Best to go with a big group for best service. Couples having dinner here seemed to get the shaft, service-wise, since, I'm guessing, their tab wasn't as big. Sushi was fresh, appetizers were great, food in general was delicious.

I'm a regular and big fan of Origami. Always a great experience and best quality in sushi around. Love the staff (well, most of them)!
