The Monte Carlo Bar is an upscale, long-time popular Steak House in the North Loop. A huge patio, classic old interior, and incredible, knowledgeable staff are the ultimate expression of class. Its usually a good mix of retired old money, neighborhood professionals, and is becoming popular with the GLBT community for the great patio.

Decent food at a decent price. Couple of standouts are the Thai Greenbean appetizer and the Filet Mignin is passable. Try it with the Whiskey Peppercorn sauce.
