The local is a great spot for a weekday happy hour or a sunday morning brunch. The decor is classy and the food is good, if not a little overpriced (except during happy hour). I tend to steer clear on the weekends, due to the lack of drink specials and a dearth of serving staff.

I LOVE the local! it is one of the most unique bars minneapolis has to offer. It most definately has an irish feel to it. Its the closest thing to an authentic irish pub you can get!! The service is great and the people there are so friendly!! The servers are pretty much all good looking as well. I would recommend this bar to anyone! OHHHH and did i mention they have the LONGEST HAPPY HOUR IN THE TWIN CITIES?!!! Great incentive!!

I was here a couple years ago and had a great time. The people and the atmosphere were the main things that attributed to that.

The Local has more security than the airport. Video cameras stare from every corner. Security guards with earpieces stalk about. The effect is a total buzz kill. Exactly what is management so worried about?

More bartenders are needed on weekend nights. People don't want to wait five minutes to order a drink.
