La Belle Vie is on of the top restaurants in Minneapolis, in fact, its rated in the top 50 restaurants in the entire country! This upscale French place does everything exquisitely... From service, to cuisine, you'll love it!
Located in an old, Loring Park mansion, La Belle Vie is the premiere dining spot in the Twin Cities. The dinner crowd is older and upscale, but the night caters to a mix of people, including wealthy old money and young artsy hipsters, all taking advantage of the unique and on-location infused drinks, which are as creative as the menu. The mood is chill and upscale, where your group can enjoy great service and intimate lighting.
THRIFTY TIP: $40 Tasting menu, reasonable bar menu lets you splurge responsibly!

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the TC. Great tapas/appetizers and great drinks from Johnnyas Mariana stated. Let him suggest the drink for you, he's never wrong!

If you haven't experienced the Lounge at La Belle Vie, or the amazing creations of mixologist Johnny- then get there, FAST!! If you are a wine drinker, look no further than to the expertise of sommelier Bill Summerville.

RIDICULOUSLY Delicious! its not cheap, but its a great value for their lounge menu. If you're looking to splurge, the cocktails are some of the best in the city, to accompany hands down the best food in the city. Lounge menu has Lamb burgers and fous gras you can't miss

It’s funny that this place is listed on the Thrifty Hipster website. If you are ready to be amazed and not so thrifty make La Belle Vie your first stop. You will not be disappointed and it will be hard to go back to your normal lifestyle.

I was treated to the Belle for my birthday and had a fantastic experience. It's a special occasion place so don't go looking for cheap eats. The staff treated us with their knowledge of food and wine but also made time to get to know us. Worth every penny (though I didn't have to pay).
