JD Hoyt’s is a classic casual supper club located in the Minneapolis warehouse district. It specializes in high quality steak and seafood, although the house specialty is the 24oz. Cajun Pork Chop ($23). All menu items are served a la carte, so expect about $30/plate for a full meal. Sandwiches are also excellent, and a cheap alternative, at around $10. Expect to dine here with your lawyer or meet up for business.
The average crowd age is 45, but in reality, there is a large eclectic mix of groups; JD Hoyt’s is right next to several strip clubs and the Minneapolis School of Music, so they also draw a large group of younger and fun patrons from the neighborhood. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin provide the regular background music, but Hoyt’s occasionally plays classic rock mixed with newer pop.
Whatever your mood, you can fit in here. JD Hoyt’s is both dim lit and casual for dining, AND lively and loud in the bar area. Well dressed and professional bartenders serve up classic cocktails like high end gins and over 15 varieties of scotches. You can also find a wide selection of brandy, cognacs, and port wines. JD Hoyt’s also prides themselves on being the #1 seller of Patron Tequila in the Minneapolis area.
PARKING is found for Free in the back, or you can valet.

Very disappointing. The food was low quality and the drinks very expensive for the size. Happy hour is misleading - "select" drinks only are on special. Staff was strange - rude.

Went here for Valentine's day w/ the hubby & another couple, and LOVED the food & drinks. We had a very weird server though & she was slow, couldn't remember things, kind of ruined that whole aspect of it, but would go back in a heartbeat!!!!!!

This place used to be hip- now it's just faux hip(faux=fake to you GED-ers). Although the food is decent, their prices have gone through the roof, and the atmosphere is decidedly Perkins-ish. The brunch is good, while the service remains mediocre.
