Food was good and priced right, but the unfriendly and unprofessional wait staff ruined the entire experience. Afternoon waitress slow, obnoxious and calling customers names under her breath as she walked away from them ... and this is the 2nd time I've witnessed this there. I will not be going back for a third time.

There is the late night specials on mon, tue and wed as mentioned. It IS correct. The bartender's and servers are super sweet. Love that place!

great place to be a regular at! the bartenders are nice and know how to make a drink, good beer selection, and the nachos are amazing. The music selection could be better, but the karaoke is great and they have a great selection of songs.

The specials are wrong.This has been mentioned by other reviewers repeatedly. The beer selection is very good. The wings are not. But I shouldn't be eating them anyway, so it worked out. There is parking in back. Overall, meh.

Came here after a Vikings game, too crowded, I waited so long to get my beer that I had to find the waitress to remind her of it. I waited in a huge line for the womens bathroom and it turned out that a dude was the one holding up the line! Tater tots were the only good thing

NE bar is fantastic. Thought I'd get a neighboring work group together to go to the other location. The downtown bar sucks. There was a twins game and they sell the lot at $10, so no parking, and they have a special "game menu". Reheated foods that was beyond what i'd pay for crap. The service sucked. The music was WORSE....(green day?) I left a 22% tip cuz the waitress looked and felt worse than us. I'll never go back. GRUMPY's SUCKS.

The specials here are wrong, I went on Monday for happy hour and it was $1 off apps and tap beer, but they're pretty cheap to begin with. I got a basket of 10 wings for $3.50 and they were great! There's also free parking in the back, you don't have to park at a meter. Perfect if you're looking for cheap and not too concerned about atmosphere.

Staff is super friendly, very attentive and efficient. The ood is excellent and prices are perfect. They even have comedy on Wednesday nights at 10 pm FOR FREE!! Definitely worth going there!!

Attentive bartender. You wouldn't think so, but the menu allows many veggie alternatives in nearly every dish.

Waitstaff here is almost always cool to the crowd. Plus, they treat the dogs right here. Their happy hour isn't exactly competitive, though.

My friend and I went there to get something to drink and eat. We sat by the windows and within a few minutes someone walked up and gave us menus. No one ever came back. We sat there for at least 15 minutes before finally walking out. They weren't busy and there were plenty of wait people and at least one bartender who saw us.

Great servers. good pricing on the eats. Excellent juke box selection. The pool tables are reasonable so what's there not to love.

My wife and I stopped by to have some beers and dinner. It was pretty much dead and the one bartender must have looked at us about 5 or 6 times and never came over. We asked the other bartender if there were any specials? He was too high to know and then answered "I should know that but I don't" and never came back. Nor will I!

There are actually three Grumpy's around the Metro (downtown, Northeast, and Coon Rapids) and they're each very unique. The downtown version has awesome food with the best burgers and Nachos in the city. Great beers on tap and priced to buy in bulk! I love the Nordeast Grumpy's too, but it's a whole different atmosphere.

Excellent. They know how to pour a good beer. Good greasy bar food. Wish they hadn't messed with their Potato Oles though. The old ones were better. Always room whether there are two or twelve in your party.

I'll never go here again. When I went the place was near empty (no games that day) and the service was terrible. With so few people in the bar you'd think the wait staff would be more attentive. It was like pulling teeth to get a second drink.

Vikings days aside, this is one of the best bars in Mpls. The drink selection is large, the specials are generous, the food is decent (burgers far better here than at Matt's), and the jukebox rules. There is always something happening and the staff is beyond reproach. Awesome bar.

They have some of the best bbq sauce I've ever tasted. The amosphere is good. Could use some specials. But overall its a great place

I've been here a few times w/ friends for dinner & drinks and have had a pretty good time. The little cheeseburgers are delicous! Yummy yummy yummy!!!
