Grumpy’s is a popular spot with its regulars, of which it has many. Located a bit away from the warehouse district, Grumpy’s Bar is situated near the University of MN Westbank Campus, across the freeway. The interior is usually pretty well lit , but they have a small backroom for live performances and entertainment. The best night is Wednesday, when they host local comedians. Cover is usually free, although the drinks are rarely on special. The regulars mostly come for a few rounds of pool and kicking back. The crowd is chill and could be considered more “alternative�? than the normal Minneapolis downtown crowds. The music is usually straight out of a jukebox. Parking is easy in the large lot behind the bar. TIP- $4 Red Breast on Wednesday is a steal. Don't spoil it with soda!

Food was good and priced right, but the unfriendly and unprofessional wait staff ruined the entire experience. Afternoon waitress slow, obnoxious and calling customers names under her breath as she walked away from them ... and this is the 2nd time I've witnessed this there. I will not be going back for a third time.

There is the late night specials on mon, tue and wed as mentioned. It IS correct. The bartender's and servers are super sweet. Love that place!

great place to be a regular at! the bartenders are nice and know how to make a drink, good beer selection, and the nachos are amazing. The music selection could be better, but the karaoke is great and they have a great selection of songs.

The specials are wrong.This has been mentioned by other reviewers repeatedly. The beer selection is very good. The wings are not. But I shouldn't be eating them anyway, so it worked out. There is parking in back. Overall, meh.
