Is this Glueks the same that sells cheap beer in kegs at the liquor stores? I'm still trying to figure that one out. It is a pretty fun place, for a night in Downtown Minneapolis. The decor is fun wooden German beer drinker-deco and they have a decent beer list. Glueks is usually pretty packed by a young downtown crowd during the weekends. They’ve also been hosting small local and acoustic acts. Despite its location next to the Lone Tree it remains decently chill and has a loyal set of regulars. The sidewalk patio is a bit small and the bouncers are a bit rude, but overall, Glueks gets high marks compared to other downtown places, then again, big mugs of beer probably have dulled my wits too much for this critique. NOTE: Specials not valid during Minneapolis Target Center events.

This place blows. The shape of it is like 1 awkward long hallway, it was pretty dead and it's hard to meet people here because it's just a bunch of low height tables. The dancefloor was nearly empty when I was there.

went Gluek's on a saturday night and besides waiting over five minutes for a drink i got overcharged. a soda had been added to my bill that i didn't have...when i called to tell a manager this they responded "so you want us to refund your money?" i mean really? no i love getitng overcharged by a bartender who my guess pocketed the soda money plus the tip. if you go pay attention but i wouldn't waste your time when their are many other better places to go

I love Gluek's! I've always had a good time there, and the music during the week is great. The bar staff has always been really great, and you don't have to wear a mini skirt and halter top to go in. It's a chill bar, which makes it so much better!

Cool place but really crowded on the weekends. 32oz mugs are sweet because it means you don't have to fight through the crowd to get another one all that often, but pretty expensive given that Gluek's beer is crap.

Good sized mugs of beer, and the German potato salad is two tits up!
