First Avenue is one of the best clubs in the city. It’s been downtown forever and is famous for its cheap entry, big name acts, and large open rooms. New recent additions of plasmas haven't changed the main theme: a dark and urban-industrial club.

Dance nights always feature local DJ talent and usually have lots of people dancing. Most people are pretty nice and talkative; you could say it’s an alternative laid-back crowd, but mostly variable dependent on who's on the stage.

They have a huge dance floor and everyone feels welcome dancing here, no matter how good you are. The bouncers are burly punk rockers, so don’t get in a tangle. The best part is they are notoriously hard on fake I.d.’s so you don’t see too many underagers here (unless of course, it’s an all ages or 18+ concert). First Avenue has a pretty extensive beer list and $7 Newcastle bombers. As far as a downtown club goes, its on the less expensive side.

Classic place. I'd rather catch a show at 7th street than the main room. The sound mix is a little better.... a lot better. In the main room you could be watching an acoustic show, but the system has it set on hip hop. I've seen many bands tell the sound guy to turn down the bass.

Saturdays club nights are great! Cheap cover, drinks aren't too bad, and lots of fun people and girls who will dance! Make sure to come on a night when it's packed, because when it's only half full it's about 1/8 of the fun, and will have a much harder time finding people who want do dance. I love the bathrooms!

Too Much Love is something that every city needs. I think Saturday nights are always going to be fun as hell as long as that shit is still going on.

I love the venue and all the great music that passes through, but WHY CAN'T THEY JUST UPGRADE THE LEGENDARILY AWFUL BATHROOMS?!?!?!
