Foundation was awesome, like an underground club in Europe. Now we have to troll BeatWorld and hang out in stuffy warehouses with no toilets. WTF, Minneapolis?

The Element (the new name for this place) is one of the biggest rip-offs in the city. I had one of those Free Cover cards, but it turns out they don't accept them Saturday nights. The whole place was corded off for their VIP guests, so there was no place to sit, and no room to move. On top of all that, 80% of the people there weren't just men, but throughly obnoxious men who give immature macho jerks a bad name. And this was on Ladies Night-and there was hardly a woman there! At least not any who weren't there with a boyfriend. Biggest waste of eight dollars in my life. Here's hoping they close it down for good.

Drinks are priced well for downtown and they always have something going on.. I also enjoyed the staff at foundation! They are respectful which is hard to find downtown..

Minneapolis was not deep enough in its tastes for this club. If you liked House, Techno, DnB, or even old school Hip Hop, this was the place to go. The acts they brought in here almost no one else brought. A huge blow for electronic music (but also for fans of non-commercial hip hop). The sound was great, the dancefloor well designed, bartenders responsive, and the owners were constantly tweaking it (especially deep lounge) and cared about patrons. Sound in Motion will continue to bring in big Trance acts to Epic and some House too, and no doubt Envy and First Ave VIP will host slightly lesser known House and Techno cats. Still this place's loss is tough and it is a dissappointing reflection of lack of outgoing attitude in this city's scene. We have 3 million people, we should be able to sustain a club like this. Our peer city Denver sustains 3 clubs like this.
