Come check out BOOTLEGGERS, the biggest sports bar/nightclub in downtown Minneapolis, where you can sit back and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with your friends, family, and co-workers while watching the game. Later, Bootleggers turns into a full scale party!

Bootleggers is a huge space with 2 levels of entertainment, each complete with their own full-service bar and plenty of plasma TV's, remodeled to trendy 20's decor accented with some original exposed brick and topped off with a prohibition theme. The 1 st floor features a band stage (with great cover bands playing most of the time) and dance floor, live DJ, private outdoor patio (one of the best in downtown!), and plenty of seating, even though you're going to prefer to run around meeting people or dance.

Great bar. Love the lay out. Fun atmosphere.

Bootleggers is great during slow hours. Avoid at all costs during peak hours. A small space and bad layout provide for an unpleasant experience. On a busy night you will find yourself 4 or 5 deep up and down the bar trying to get a drink. Awful bands and too many guys don't help. The aesthetics of the space are nice, but it has too much to overcome. One bonus this place does have, sometimes, is the patio out back. It is much quieter and less crowded. If you want to go to a shoulder to shoulder button-down frat bar this place might be for you.

I went to Bootleggers for the Pub and Putt charity event on Saturday and was dicusted by the hole they had. I think someone forgot to tell the people running Bootleggers this is a charity event not a convention.

I wouldn't bother on the weekends unless you like being packed between people, crappy cover bands, expensive drinks, and yelling "What?!" anytime someone speaks to you, even when their next to you. Maybe I'll try it on a more low-key night.

we are regulars at this bar and just love it. Weds are best as they have $10 bottomless cup and beer pong/been bag toss. It's always a great time. expect a crowd mainly in their 20's.
