The 8th Street Grill is newly remodeled for 2008! A large wooden bar, state of the art sound system, and HUGE new tap list of 32 Taps (concentration on seasonal beers)!
The 8th Street Grill is busiest for lunch and its after work crowd. Home of older and more upscale patrons, the 8th Street Grill is medium sized and a casual place to hang, sip some beers, watch the game, and catch up with co-workers. In the summer, when they open up the doors to the street, the 8th Street has one of the nicer patios in downtown. Plus, large heaters make this patio 3-season and also comfortable for winter time smoking. The 8th Street is famous for its active (but not crazy) happy hours and lunches, but tends to wind down after dinner time.

This place is great. A good mix of people, great food (onion rings are delicious), friendly staff, and awesome drink specials. In the summer, they open up the big wall windows to make the whole place almost outdoors. It gets kind of crowded after work, but its never too loud to chill.

I am a frequent customer here, and I have been for years. Great food, and good service at a reasonable price for downtown. I would have given 5 stars, but I don't understand why they keep that grumpy, rude host on. She needs a major attitude adjustment, is that really what they want people to be greeted by when they walk in the door??!!!
